Shop-Aid Arbor Shims come without keyways and Spacers come with keyways. A set is an assortment of 1 piece of each thickness (available in ID of 2-1/2 or smaller). Sizes with ID of 2-1/2 or smaller are sold in 10 piece packages, larger sizes are packaged to order. All Arbor Spacers and Shims with a 3-1/4 OD and larger and over .032 thickness are made from gauge stock and hold a thickness tolerance of +/- 10%.

Shop-Aid Oil Hardened O-1 tool steel is a general purpose oil-hardening tool and die steel. It has good abrasion resistance, and sufficient toughness for normal tool and die applications. When compared to a 1 percent carbon steel, O-1 has a machinability rating of 90. Diameters range from 1/16 3.
Water Hardened W-1
Shop-Aid Water Hardened W-1 tool steel is a general purpose water-hardening tool steel with a 1.00% Carbon content. W-1 is the easiest of all steel to machine with a machinability rating of 100 as a basis for comparison with other tool steels. Diameters range from 1/16 2.
Threaded Rod
Shop-Aid zinc plated Threaded Rod available in 3, 6 and 12 lengths on most sizes. SAE or (fine thread) is also available upon request. Both are available unplated.. All sold in tube quantity only. Sizes range from 4-40 and 2-4 ½.
Shafting

Key Stock 1018 Steel
Shop-Aid Key Stock is held to a tight tolerance (+.002, -.000) to ensure a tight fit. The steel stock is zinc coated, then stamped with size for easy identification. Square Key Stock sizes range from 1/8 to 2 and 4mm to 25mm. Available in 12, 3, 6 and 12.

Warrensville File has no "seconds" or subquality levels - each quality offered is the best with respect to the country of origin. "U.S.A Made" is still in high demand, however not all people can or need to pay prime for the particular file applications. Spacing Collars |
Shop-Aids Spacing Collars are hardened and precisely ground for spacing milling cutters, saws, and grinding tools. They are furnished with standard keyway and chamfered edges. Rockwell Hardness is C35-48. Ends are parallel and flat within .0005, and are square with ID within .002 TIR. Spacing Collar tolerances: ID +.003/-.001, OD +.000/-.010, Overall Length: +/-.0005. |

Depending on the application, this mount will easily hold more than 20 pounds in any position. The patented ball and ring clamp not only holds more weight, but will do it regardless of the most severe shock and/or vibration, and in the most hostile environments. |
 | Tool Steel Foil Wrap |
Ticronic Tool Steel Foil is a type 321 annealed stainless steel used in
the heat treating of tool steel parts. The wrap eliminates the need for
Ni-Chrome or box packing or the use of sawdust or other carbonaceous
materials. No special controlled atmosphere furnaces are required.
Guaranteed to be taken up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Simple to
use; place tool in Ticronic Tool Steel Wrap; fold over and crimp edges
forming an airtight package; place package in oven and, heat treat in usual
way. Further technical information is available upon request. For special
applications, Ticronic 2000 or 321/.003" thickness stainless steel foil is
available for higher temperature applications.

* Saves time, allows in-house heat treating.
* Wrap tool in foil and heat treat in usual manner.
Ticronic 2000 now available for higher temperature applications such as
high speed steels. Ticronic 2000 can be used for temperatures approaching 2250 degrees
fahrenheit! Available in 50' and 100' rolls just like our regular Ticronic.
Ticronic 2000 is the answer for high temperature heat treating. Works for most applications
and eliminates the need for double wrapping or using .003" thick foil. Please note that
high temperature applications require tool to be at highest temperatures for a
very short period of time. For best high temperature results follow instructions very specifically. |
